“DIMENSIONES”: Interviú sobre la colección – Interview about the collection.

Debido al éxito del corto video publicado por la Galería Le Petit Atelier sobre mi colección “DIMENSIONES”, de 2018, hemos decidido publicar la entrevista completa y sin editar.

Due to the success of the short video uploaded by the Gallery Le Petit Atelier about my collection “DIMENSIONES” (Dimensions), from 2018, we have decided to upload, without editing, the full length video of the interview.

Además, con la intención de contestar a muchas de las preguntas que hemos recibido estos días, hemos añadido al video con la entrevista imágenes del “making off”, de la evolución de las obras desde el diseño original y el primer disparo una vez desenfocada la imagen. También se encontrarán con recortes seleccionados de los originales, para que puedan entender mi punto de vista y, al final del video, hay una explicación sobre el concepto visual de cinco fotografías de la colección.

Ahora el video ya no es una corta explicación de doce minutos, sino toda una charla de cincuenta y seis minutos con montones de imágenes.

In addition, to be able to answer the many questions, about the collection, that we have had these last few days, we have added to the video images about the “making off”, the evolution of the images from the original design and the first shot once it was defocused. You can also find images of some selected parts of the originals so as to understand my point of view and, at the end to the video, there is an explanation about the visual concept of five photographs of the collection.

Now, the video is not a short twelve minutes explanation, but a fifty six minutes talk with lots of images.

Tal vez encuentren difícil apreciar ciertas partes de las imágenes, no es un fallo, sino la forma en que están pensadas para forzar al cerebro a buscar la dimensión perdida que estaba tratando de mostrarles.

Si hablamos de texturas visibles, encontrarán imágenes muy suaves. De cualquier modo, al ver el video en bajas resoluciones las obras parecerán más suaves de lo que son realmente. Es bueno recordar aquí que, normalmente, preparo mis imágenes en un tamaño cercano a 3 x 3 metros de ancho antes de reducir las obras a su tamaño final: 1 x 1 m.

Perhaps you´ll find difficult to see some parts of the images, it´s not a mistake, it´s the way they are thought of to make your brain search for the lost dimension that I was trying to show you.

They are very soft images, if we talk about visible textures. Anyway, in low resolution videos they will appear softer than they really are. It´s a good thing to remember here that, normally, I prepare my images in sizes close to 3×3 meters wide before they are reduced to their final size: 1×1 m.
