En Junio de 2014, inauguré una exposición en la Galería Le Petit Atelier de Lérida.
In the month of June of 2014, I inaugurated an exhibition in the Petit Atelier Gallery in Lerida-Catalonia.
Su director, Antonio Pena, encargó un video en forma de entrevista para presentarlo como parte de la exposición y, también, para poder llevarlo a las exposiciones en las distintas Ferias de Arte en que participa. Su intención era hacer llegar a los espectadores de modo más directo el espíritu que anima mis colecciones y explicado, además, con mis propias palabras.
It’s director, Antonio Pena, asked for a video to be done in the form of an interview for it to be presented as part of the exhibition and, also, to take along to the other Art Fairs in which he partakes. His intention was that the video be spoken by me with my own words so that the spirit that emanates from my collections could reach the viewers in a more direct way.
El video se encargó a Piluka Films quien me presentó un sobre con las preguntas que debía responder y grabó las respuestas para después montar el sonido sobre las imágenes que había hecho de mi obra. También se hicieron unas tomas conmigo en diversas localizaciones, en las que se pudieron capturar varias imágenes que podría utilizar en mi trabajo con la realidad simultanea si hubiera querido. Son esas pequeñas sorpresas que aparecen acá y allá a lo largo del video en forma de personajes o rostros entre las piedras o los arbustos.
The video was entrusted to Piluka Films who in turn handed to me an envelope with the questions I had to answer. My answers were taped and the sound was put in with the images that had been taken of my works. I was also filmed in different locations in which many of the images that appeared in them, could have easily been used in my work Simulataneous Reality if I had wanted to. These are some of the small surprises that came up here and there during the whole length of the video in the form of characters or faces that appeared in the stones and the bushes.
La entrevista se hizo en inglés y se tradujo posteriormente al castellano en forma de subtítulos. Pido disculpas por los fallos que mi dominio del ingles pueda dejar al descubierto, dado que no es mi lengua materna, pero creo que las respuestas son comprensibles y pueden ayudar a entender mejor mi obra y a una aproximación más fácil a la misma.
The interview was done in English and was translated into Spanish afterwards. I apologize for the errors that my command of the English language can bring about as it is not my mother tongue, even so, I think that the answers are comprehensible and they can help understand my work better and can also help bring it closer so much easier.
Quiero agradecer a Piluka Films el esfuerzo realizado en el poco tiempo de que dispusieron para realizar el video. Al mismo tiempo quisiera expresar mi satisfacción y sorpresa con el resultado del trabajo pues me ha parecido fantástico.
I want to extend my thanks to Piluka Films for all the work and effort they have put into this in the short time they had to do this video. At the same time, I want to express my satisfaction and surprise with the results of all this work which I think is fantastic.
